my apologies. the thread i was referring to was for another rx100 ebook and i had no idea there was another one out there, so i flat glossed over the author name.\//guy/The world is going to pieces...
-
someone posted that the author sent them an update via email, but i ordered from the web page and have received no notice of any update nor could i find a way to update my file via the web site.

i would never add an artificial element (counting water as artificial if it wasn't there to begin with) to a photograph, don't get me started! i don't even add artificial light as a rule unless i...

speed seems ok to my airport extreme, but i'll pay more attention the next batch i send. at the time i was just trying to get it to work at all. i was disappointed to see the card doesn't support...

i know, i know. i've bought 4 eye-fi cards over the years from the first one on up and they usually end up shoved into a box because they get outdated or my current camera won't play nice with...

likely it's the same feature as on the rx100 called something like 'clear image zoom'. but although i never use digital zoom, the clear image zoom seems a different animal and very useful indeed...
-
do you mean digital zoom? i know i read the dpreview preview very quickly, but i didn't see any converter refs in it.

i took a quick look and tried out the quirky 'comparometer' or whatever they call it.it looked like the rx100 beat several highly regarded m43rds cameras in the overall score. and although the...

+1i thought i saw a specific promise that they were going to release a body that would take advantage of the features and quality of the 12-35/2.8 and the upcoming 35-100/2.8. and they would be...

this must be the overflow thread from the 'isn't that blue zeiss label the ugliest thing you've ever seen' crowd.i found that hilarious because it took me at least 10-15 seconds of rotating and...

it seems like you can still shoot panorama, but you won't get a raw image, just a jpeg one. this sounds reasonable to me. but raw+jpg will lose you some major features that are quite useful to me,...
-
this seems to answer my question as to whether you can use both products on the same image. i will try this out at the first opportunity. thanks!

is there any way to use both dxo and lr4? undoubtedly a very stupid question because both of them need the raw file, but if you use one of these apps to tweak the raw, there's no way of saving...

i don't understand the complaint(s) about this being posed. that would seem to be obvious--at least it is to me. and i don't think the op misrepresented it as a candid or ever pretended that it was...

back in the film days, backup bodies were very often used so you could shoot color and b&w on the same outing. but even if you're using the same film in both bodies it's extraordinarily useful to...
