Thanks everyone for the votes & the kind words :-)
djsphynx: Or just buy 2 64GB cards for those of us who have cameras with two slots?
Erm yes there are! I have 2 on CF slots on my 1DX
My pic was disqualified for being a later mk Spit than what they had in the B.O.B as it had a four blade prop. Which is fair enough...
But how come there are 3 other pics in here that also feature later spits with 4 bladed props that weren't disqualified. Seems a bit unfair?
I don't get it either!
Surely the whole point of the iphone camera is it's small and you can take it everywhere. So why does everyone keep making these stupid things that makes it bigger???
Octane: I don't understand the obsession with who manufactures the sensor. Looking at the DxO tests Nikon has 6 cameras in the top 10 list. Canon, who makes their own sensor, has one in 10th place. And that one camera is their most expensive one, while the D600 is the most affordable full frame camera today. Nikon is smart, they pick the best from different suppliers and put it together as an amazing camera. That's what made the difference for them in the past 6 years where people thought they were hopelessly behind to now being the top quality SLR producer.
I agree Octane I think it was a good decision of Nikon's to use Sony sensors in their cameras as they are currently the best.
I think what gets people is DXO ONLY measures sensor performance. So when the Nikon fanboys crow about owning the DXO top spots the credit should really go to Sony seeing as they are the ones that make the sensor
Turbo Hampster: Will the OVF display any information on it?i.e. how do you focus and adjust exposure using the OVF or is it purely just for framing???
ThanksThats what I was thinking so pretty much useless for use on anything but static subjectsAnd for the bargain price 500 plus dollars! Who cares if if has Zeiss optics if you can only use it for framing

Jacques_t: There is something to be said for taking a photo and having a person 'work it' to conform to the artist's vision. What I find disturbing about digital art and 'artists' is that any Tom, Dick and Harry can press a button on a phone, apply an instant filter and call it 'art'. Where is the artist in the art in that process?
Digital art becomes forgettable very quickly, it does not hold much value, other than instant monetary value.
I have no problem with technological progress, but don't leave the 'artist' out of 'art'.
Any old Tom, Dick or Harry can slap a bit of paint on a canvas and call it art!And it in the case of "modern" art it seems they frequently do..
Great Idea! Surprised no has done it before..Now if I could just find one to buy :-0
Awesome shot! But come on people giving 0.5 & 1's on this image what a load of Cr@p!
Thanks guys very kind!So many awesome pictures in this challenge was happy just to get in!
Turbo Hampster: Hey guys thanks for the kind words very much appreciated!
I can kind of see what you mean that it might not be considered transport by some, as a fighter plane is designed to fight aswell as being a method of transport. But the challenge rules said a picture of a car, train, boat, plane, bicycle or any form of transport...So in my interpretation of the rules this image fits, but each to his own if people didn't think it did they are entitled to give me a 0.5.
Thanks, yeah it is not particularly sharp as due to the angle I was shooting straight through the heat haze created by the engines
Yeah it was! I took it during an airshow so the pilot was throwing it round pretty good
