Nice shots. In this last one, you can clearly notice that the guy on the right is trying to decide between the Nikon A or the Pentax Ricoh GR, whereas the one on the left is checking the reds on...

Read above, Ray wrote that he doesn't want to have to deal with different raw developers for different cameras, he uses LR for all his cameras. Besides, honestly, who wants to use Silkypix? I...

Read above, Ray wrote that he only shot in raw (DNGs) with the GR.

Seriously Ray, this was already discussed here in this forum, Ming Thein mentioned the issue, and now you are acting surprised? All you'll find here in this thread is fauxtographers telling you...

You do know that Amazon is not the only place that sells books, right? And of course you did notice that you can order the hardcover issue (a big book by any means, and worth every cent of its 50...

Thanks for sharing. It's interesting that you choose a blue tonality rather than going for b&w, it gives your photos a distinctive look together with the 10mm wide-angle.
Because I also have the...

They buy them from Sony. If Sony doesn't have a 16MP sensor with an electronic shutter in their catalog then it's not Pentax/Ricoh's choice to include an electronic shutter option or not. They just...

Hi Jacques,
If you have either the SB-N5 or the SB-N7, I believe you could use the V1 with the same flash technique she used with the V2: set the SB-N5/7 to manual and trigger the remote handheld...

Here is what the three cameras look like:
Clockwise from top left: Nikon V1 (white), Panasonic LX-3 (black), Ricoh GXR with A12/28mm module (black)
Undoubtedly, the V1 is larger and heavier than...

I enjoyed reading it. OTOH some pixelpeepturbators on the Ricoh forum here at dpr don't quite get his style and criticized his review. I hope they enjoy mine... ;-)

Hi,
Yes, I guess I should Read The Fine Manual someday to check the V1's JPEG settings, but I am procrastinating as usual. ;-)
I am on the market for a new tripod these days, I have more or less...

I noticed she was using two black V2's , most of the time one with the 10-30mm zoom, the other with the 10mm pancake. No doubt the camera being so light and unobtrusive helps for street photography.

I agree 100%. But remember, pixelpeepturbators love to compare JPEG colors, without even taking note of their configurable in-camera JPEG engine settings!
Actually, the comparison here is apples...

Hi, yes it was ON. Note that I just got my V1 about a week ago whereas I have had the other two cameras for years, so I am not used yet to how the V1 settings affect the image. I'll have a try at...

Hi everybody,
Here is a first batch of shots from The Hague, respectively, LX-3, GXR, V1 and each time: the whole picture resized to 1920 pixels width, a 100% center crop, and a 100% crop from the...

Hi everybody,
In this series of posts "The Essential Pixelpeepturbator" I am going to compare three cameras that are capable of moderate wide angle, approximately 28mm picture taking. These are...

Yeah sure, as your gallery clearly demonstrates, you do use ND filters a lot, in bright day light, shooting at f/2.0 wide open. Obviously. What was I thinking?
-
So do I. :)
But then reality sinks in. :(
Anyways, enjoy your new GR!

The GXR A12/28mm f/2.5 does not have an ND filter, but it has a similar leaf shutter to the one in the GR, which is limited in speed by the aperture. So outdoors in very bright sunlight, if you...
