I would prefer to see Adobe out of business. This company redefines the word Thiefs......

gsum: It's a camera and it's digital but this doesn't seem to have any more to do with photography than an iphone. Perhaps DPReview should rename their site to DG Review where the 'G' stands for Gadget or Gimmick. This site is getting sidetracked from photography into toyland.

If you are not a professional photographer, then you are an amateur. If you think that is toyland then you need serious help.

Kevin Coppalotti: Has it got the same dog slow focusing of the old model? Panny have fast focusing in the new FZ150.

You obviously haven't used the new Panny FZ's.

RedFox88: "HD" lenses. What a marketing joke. 1080p video is just 2 MP - wow that is really high definition! LOL.

new firmware that enables seven of its LUMIX G Series interchangeable lenses to be HD lenses, meaning they can shoot exceptional HD video.
======================
That is Panny's story, so I think you need to understand what they are saying . I agree with the O/P

Mirrorless is the future, period. This is not surprising. Thank you Panasonic for your forward thinking creation...

This camera makes absolutely no sense to me at all. With the small sensor, just go buy a fixed lens competitor from Canon,Panasonic, Olympus or Sony. Otherwise just go for the slightly larger cameras from the aforementioned companies, and it will be a much larger sensor.

On Panasonic launches FZ47/FZ48 24x superzooms article (98 comments in total)

Underwhelming. I will keep the FZ 35. Judging the current marketing strategy of Panny, the 35 will likely be my last Panny. These people are out to lunch anymore..

IMO, as soon as they got into the interchangeable lens business, that was it for the bridge cams. A once great, innovative company gone south with marketing.

eddie_cam: Whatever happened to the Olympus SZ-30MR? Why hasn't it be included?

If you feel that way, why read it, or for that matter even bother with the site.
