I agree with the other poster. I have a medium chest pack that I got when I was still shooting dx, but once I went to fx I needed a bigger carrier. They make great gear however, and are good to...

I agree with the other poster...getting the second camera doesn't really add much to your capabilities, other than higher resolution. The advertised kit is a very good deal however, if it is legit...

Acquired over several years...along with my d4...
14-24 2.8
24-70 2.8
70-200vr1
28-300vr
500mm vr
The 24-70 sits on the camera most of the time. The 14-24 is an amazing lens for outdoors,...

I have a pretty tough comparison against my d4, but so far no matter what I do, I have only had bad experience trying to shoot bif or other wildlife images. I love the v1 generally but not for...

Unless I forget to turn it on I use it 100% of the time.

I agree that the problems are overblown and not that common, and there are fixes in place in case something comes up. Or just buy a d4, no known problems with them other than a much slimmer...

It is still a fantastic, sharp lens with quick focus and great color. It is just around the edges where you can sometimes see vignetting, but if you are doing any cropping at all it is not a...

I have a v1 and a d4, and from my experience there is no situation where the v1 will outperform. That being said, I enjoy using my v1 on mtn bike rides and hikes where I don't want to take my big...

I have a D4 and am happy to be able to use my 3d glasses now to get better viewing from its images... :) Seriously, more three dimensional? If the already great white balance is further improved...

I am just an amateur so for me this is all about 'want' vs 'need' if you are a pro, but the issues are the same. I thought about getting a d800 to complement my d4, but for my shooting the d4 is so...

I would also recommend you check out the Clik Elite bags. They are designed by outdoor athletes for outdoor athletes, the ones taking pics anyway. They are the only company I know of that make bags...

I agree with the others..until the price drops precipitously this camera won't sell much. When it gets down to close to where the v1 was it will sell, and there will be upgraders as well.

I especially love the 'food fight' picture. I use the D4/500vr combo as well, hand held almost all the time. It works beautifully...wish I had the sort of sights you see up in Alaska however!

Bodies always do...lenses not so much although with the weaker yen Nikon has more room to drive sales than they did when the yen was stronger.

But it should be for the $$. I think it may be slightly better than the D3S after the latest firmware update, but again we are dealing with different degrees of amazing. I had a D300 for a while...

Fun read, I learned a couple of things. Not about the cameras, which are about a dead heat, but about how they think about their equipment.

Clik Elite is about the only game in town for you. I focus on hydration capabilities because if you can't carry enough water you can't use the pack for very long. Only Clik has camera packs that...

Any time I see a new 'active' photographer pack the first thing I check for is hydration support. Any bag that doesn't fit a 100az bladder in my book falls short of the mark...which unfortunately...
