Looks like Oly is trying for a touch of the Hassy Lunar or a bit or Leica like cachet.
They're apparently going to be releasing a Premium Wood Grip Model .
And apparently some premium leather...

No but I know they are largish and not gonna be great on something dainty like a PEN.
I was sort of responding in the context of the EM5 replacement and the associated "will be able to shoot 43...

I'm not a video guy, so this is speculation, but an EVF might appear to video people?
As far as I know all DSLR video you need to use the LCD often with aloupe/viewfinder atachment or you attach an...

Actually, no.
The article said that EITHER canon or nikon would not exist in 10 years. EITHER not AND.
Here's the paragraph:
Each story is different in details, but the overall trajectory is the...

Yeah, but Nikon and Canon are the same for the purposes of that argument.
Big well known "best of breed" , "pro" or luxury brands (allegedly).
I actually don't know the stats, but I assume Canon...

Possibly cost. Presumably the lens could be cheaper without OIS, and since Oly people have paid for IS in their body, they don't want to pay for it again?

Nice work.
Really like #4.

Might I be cynical and suggest that maybe it's in Oly's interest not to release any fast MFT zooms for a while.
Recall they have a line of very nice 43 fast zooms - and they may have inventory...

You'll be ecstatic and you did the right thing.
Just remember the missus will feel the same when she goes and buys bags and shoes to equivalent or greater value.

I've no idea who dominates the Chinese market, but you seem to understand Chinese tastes prety well (new, shiny and branded for the most part ), which seems like a good thing if you want to predict...

I think I'd like one, especially for low light (would've liked to have seen some low light/night shots), but I'm not sure I can justify it. I wonder if they'll try something in a focal length...

Not sure if I am missing something in your question about shooting production lens samples. I believe they are using pre production samples because the lens is not in production yet.

I believe Moose Peterson is a big fan of the 80-400 and he shoots air shows with it and the 16-35 according to posts of this page:

I have a few approaches that might help.
You may need to use a stylus e.g. http://store.griffintechnology.com/stylus to use a touchscreen as a lot of touchscreens are capactive (I just tried my...

Hmm, reduced component count, ease of assembly, simplified design, probably less warranty returns, almost certainly less oily/whatever sensors (a la D7000, D600) and profit against what, losing a...

All of the Rokinon fisheyes - actually a lot of the Rokinon lens generally seem to get great reviews for sharpness.
The M43 fisheye is about 3rd on my list for lenses, once I get another job...

Nice shots. You've got some lovely stuff in your flickr stream too.How long you been shooting street?

I'd try to divide them such that I had as close as possible to a complete working kit (or at least a workable kit) in each bag, so if you have any problems with one bag you are still as much as...

And you know this how? You make wild assumptions that are supposed to be accepted as factual.
And you know this how?Such an obsession in selling people on the idea of a DSLR. Why?
What suggests...
