X20 reviews are actually moved to the Fujifilm X-System forum. Only dpreview knows why.

Landscapes love wide angles and if you already have 18 mm in your zoom range, 14 mm makes a beautiful addition. Perhaps the upcoming 10-24 mm might be a one-lens option for such a trip.
-
I still have to test which NR-setting is best. This was the default.
From what I can see when looking at the lens, the blades are pretty good rounded, but perhaps not perfect.
-
Those were taken with +1 EV correction, all other were exposed as suggested by the camera. It seems to me as if the sensor likes a bit more light.
-
All pictures are JPEGs direct out of the camera. I think my Lightroom needs an update before I can test these X-trans-sensor RAWs.
Higher ISO still needs to be tested. For now I'm impressed how...
-
You're right, I placed the camera on the handrail of the bridge.
-
As I understand the forum descriptions, it should depend on the sensor size, not on the camera-name or if it has interchangeable lenses:
Fujifilm FinePix Talk
the place to discuss Fujifilm compact...

I don't know why, but dpreview moved my Fujifilm X20 review to the Fujifilm X-System forum:
Fujifilm X20 first impressions and pictures

I'm still testing my new Fujifilm X20, so these are just some first impressions.
Pros:
+ Fast, high quality lens+ Feeling of manual zoom and all other manual controls+ 3:2 mode uses top of display,...

By the end of this year Fujifilm will have a very compelling XF-lens lineup. My personal choice would be 10-24, 18-55, 1.4/23 and 1.4/56 - I don't need more. Add a X-E2 with fast phase-dectection...

The Nikon Coolpix A looks nice. But why has it a 2.8/28mm lens? I would have preferred 2.0/35mm like the Fujifilm X100 has. That relatively slow lens stops the big sensor from being really useful.
-
I expected this update since 2008. What took Nikon so long? Anyway, nice to hear they finally made it.
-
Exactly the same comparison is what interests me most.If you take the bigger sensor into calculation, they are very close. Regarding DoF and angle of view, on a 35mm camera, the Panasonic would be...

BLACK - there is no reason in having a coloured camera - or lens. But I have to say, it looks good in silver, too.
-
You are right, a display would be even better. But it had to be one, that is active, when the camera is turned off. And I belive that the marked ring just better fits the style of the Fujifilm...
-
That is exactly the use-case that is missing with the current solution. I often do this in the studio, where I very, very seldom change the aperture.
-
Sure. There are always to unmarked stops between the marked full f-stops. With my idea you would have those two between "open"(2.8) and "4".
-
In my opinion "mid-level" is ok and nothings wrong with using such a camera for prefessional work. You just should not call the "top-level" cameras "pro", because they are not, just some people...
-
This is right. But me too, I'm a bit disappointed by loosing the markings. As I understand, the aperture is digitally controlled. Then it should have been possible to have a marked ring starting...

OK, I see your point, this design has some advantages and I like it's look too. But in my hand I prefer a SLR-Style hand grip. For me, Olympus did it right the way they designed the E-M5 with a...
