Nice, like those speedy little guys !

It also always annoys me that this feature setting is missing for the V1. - And yes, if you do fast series shots you can't see in the EVF here what you finally do shoot, the subject might have been...

I crosschecked that D4 test article now and they say among the text that the D4 at 30 Lux with a speed of 0.24s is leading (the fastest) and that under 1000 Lux with it's 0.26s inside the measure...

Data is taken from the periodic german c't Fotografie magazine which do cam tests and publish their measured data tables along those cam tests.

Good question, have to look if I...

Well that would be probably most useful for videographing and in uncertain situations where people just use the rear LCD for composition (macros, street shots out of the belly and wrist...

Well the overall time to take a test scene shot under 30 lux (low light) for the V2 + 1.8/18.5mm is around 0.76 seconds. In daylight just around 0.15 of a second.
It highly depends on the lighting...

Thanks for your comments! - Well I believe the differences in image composition here are overall more due to the difference of cam handling. The V1 + fixed prime combo is much smaller and you have...

Let's show one of the V1 strengths for me, namely it's color grain for higher ISO shots. Personally I like the way images sometimes turn out here with the V1, since they often remind me to old film...

IMO the lens is much more useful to have than the N5, even for low light shot situations. Though I have the N5 I rarely use it and prefer indoors with V1 the given lighting conditions. The V1 +...

I own both cams and often use them together in companion, though I do more people and portrait like shots. Under the lower light conditions I use these cams, you can get similar good results with a...

I use both of these cams often when doing people and portrait like shots, mostly on events etc. So far the V1 is a really valuable companion here to the D7k and you can get similar good looking...

... for a 1 system lens, but finally the high price of ~$1000.- will play the music here, which IMO is way too much for the usual estimated audience of Nikon 1 consumers. - Taking into account that...

Probably good glass, but at that cost way too expensive for a 1 system lens and what the sensor finally offers. At a price of a much better DX sensor DSLR or some of the better DX/FX lenses I don't...

Yes those wedding videographers sometimes do much efforts in doing their job. Sometimes they use up to 3 or 4 video cams the same time for different views in over-blending mode. And some of them...

Nice set! - BTW in the second image you got some darker sort of stripes left and top of the building into the image, maybe in post processing?

Nice set, like especially the third b&w train shot here for composition and processing!
-
A very nice set, looks like the train underpass in Altona.

That's all fine and good, but there is always one thing that bothers me with the V1 here and that's it's EVF performance lag in image live view switching time. When shooting fast image sequences...

What the videographers use instead. - They also had a flying video drone, but damned I missed to see that thing in action, since I was taking a lunch outside when they gave that thing a try. Though...
