I bought a 105 f2.5 recently and had exactly the same problems with the aperture control. The aperture setting on the LCD is "stuck" - on f2.5 usually - and cannot be changed - no matter what...

what are those big orange blobs on the balls? are they hot pixels? i have similar problems with my V1. Is this a common problem?
