Don't forget the sensor size is full frame.  I can only imagine how large it would be with any sort of Zoom lens.  Just a 24-70 2.8 would be a tank.

I have a Mac and iMovie 2011.  I understand to get the slow motion effect you need to shoot 60p.  The problem is I movie won't accept the file.  Has anyone had any success at this?

I sold all my d800 gear. Sure I don't have the AF speed and lens range but the small size is liberating and its fun to shoot with. Yea for 2800 I'm a little  disappointed Sony can't even give is 1...

If you pick put the cam at room temp the ring is cold to the touch like the rest of the metal.

In the EOSHD he states the focus ring is plastic. Mine is anodized aluminum.

Why do you need 3 RX1s lol?

Take a blue sky pic at f22 and post it.  You should not see dust esp at 5.6.  Do you use a case?  I am wondering if dust is getting trapped inside.  I have heard stories about people getting them...

On the RX100 you have an option in the menu to set PASM when shooting video.  I don't see this option on the RX1.

I would wait on the nex7n announcement. It will have everything the fuji has but 24mp sony sensor (prob like the d7100)   The body on the fuji x100s is probably about the same size as the nex 7....

I wonder if Sony will treat the RX1 like their higher end a cameras and release FW updates or more like the cybershots and never release anything?  The RX1 ver 1.00 isn't bad out of the gate but...

That can go either way.  The RX1 is less intimidating to many people and you can take it into some places where a DSLR can get turned down.

I'm looking forward to getting mine. I currently have the RX1 and I truly will be comparing the 2. I think price aside they will be 2 different cameras at the end of the day.

Do you have some pics.  This is common on the RX1 but should not be obvious wide open.

Somehow I feel that if this camera didn't have the macro ring there would be very few complaints on the AF lol. glad you got it resolved. Enjoy the wonderful camera.

I also sold all my heavy d800 gear and have not looked back. The d800 is a great camera esp for sports etc but it is huge, heavy, noisy, poor auto WB, and having to fine tune lenses all the time...
