Oh yeah, this was never going happen. The Cloud is the future, the Cloud is your friend, the Cloud is secure and without end and with Adobe in tow you'll spend, spend , spend.

Woeful IS alone should see it excluded from gold. That level of shake from 17mm lens at 1/80 is pathetic with IS on. I can get a high % of sharp shots with my ancient 400mm IS lens at 1/60 and for...

True, but it was more a general observation. Also there is the non X-trans X-A1 coming.

I'd give DxO 8.3 a trial. I've been comparing to LR 5, which is my main RAW converter and for many types of images it does an excellent job, better than LR. It has a ton of options though and can...

IQ at base ISO is very nice and looked good at ISO 720. How do they get those weird ISO value BTW? ISO 1100 wasn't so good, but not bad.

These seem rather cheap for a Leica. Did dpreview perhaps omit a zero :)

Having worked a bit on lens correction, the trouble you have with the PSF is the fact it oscillates and goes through multiple zero crossings. For those that are interested, the PSF is essentially...

Agree, but I'd say with high certainty that EOS M2 and G2x will get dual pixel technology from 70D and EVF, making them go from could would shoulda's to hell yeah's.

Nothing quite as bad as rabid Sony fangirlz

The car they make called the 86 is brilliant, most un-Toyota like. Best car since the Supra and GT4.

As a Canon user with about $30K worth of their equipment they are have been to me like the Toyota of P&S, compacts and I have never ever entertained the idea of one of their compact cameras, in the...

You don't even need a tripod to get excellent results on a DSLR.

Yes they look great at thumbnail size, then you enlarge the shots especially the concert pano and it's OMG, this impresses people. Base ISO, good light and it's pretty darn good, otherwise IQ falls...

I agree Marty, what's the point of the connect site if we are degrading dpreview with these flood of smartphone tests. So I see Barney you didn't address Marty's key concern over why here and not...

Not even close, or do you think Apple has patented extra tiny electrons that fit into the tiny wells of the iPhone sensor.

Did I not say it's still a great camera. As for making the camera bigger, they already did by puting the swiveling LCD, it's much thicker now. I would have preferred the camera grew a little for...

I think the slow tele end of the zoom range should have been mentioned as a weakness and the rapid drop in aperture. It goes from f/1.8 to f/2 just changing from 28mm to 29mm, which is a joke. To...

I would also say 6D. Really it only loses out on lesser build quality than 5D II, but it's hardly flimsy and a few things like 1/8000, CF card. IQ wise it's as good at low ISO and better at high...

I have 1D IV and 1D X and still use my 1D IV a lot. It's not in the least bit antiquated and IQ is excellent.
The best compromise between IQ, speed, sensor size, reach and price is the 1D IV IMO...
