About me:

Started shooting when a friend who worked in the St. Cloud State University photo lab lent me an AE-1 and some TMAX film. But didn't really invest in equipment till I went digital in 2003 (Rebel). Never waste an opportunity to get out and shoot when on a trip, even if it means skipping lunch or dinner.

  • I have an iMac with OS 10.10.3 and the Nik suite which I believe automatically updates itself. Worked fine together for a couple of years and now I'm running into issues with hanging and quitting. ...

  • Replied in 16-35 F4.
Looks like the 16-35 F/4 is the answer.  Thanks all for your input. Any of you previously own the 17-40 and care to comment on the differences in IQ?
  • Created discussions upgrading the 17-40 L
I've been using the 17-40 for about a decade now and am looking to upgrade it. I like the low weight and range of this lens, but IQ is more important to me now. Looks like my options are: 16-35 F/4 IS
  • Agreed. Turned it off. I wanted a site to showcase my best shots, not every shot, and after some debate chose Flickr. Who uploads every picture they take in the digital age? Nuts.

  • I've used the in camera HDR a fair bit, though the comments in this thread make me want to do it on the computer. Anyway, these are the kind of in camera HDR shots I've taken with the 5D: https://w ...
