  • These type images are your forte, Vidau. I like the captures; in the first image there is a strong resemblance between the mother and daughter. The second image ,there is also a strong resemblance ...

Good composition in this image, Brian. The mix of light and shadows are working well for you. Can I ask you did you blend images/use layers to get the moon outside the window? Well done and best ...
  • Replied in Country lane
Love the tree Ken, it looks transplanted from the realms of a fantasy forest. If it were a lower light image, I'd be anticipating a headless horseman (a lá the Legend of Sleepy Hollow) to emerge ...
  • A great image in my book, Chicago. It's really well composed and at first, I thought you'd taken it with an IR converted camera. Well done.
  • I also liked Agfapan 100 rated at 50 and souped in Rodinal. I recall an English amateur photographer using Agfapan 25 and rating it at 8 (with Rodinal) and achieving incredible detail in his 35mm ...
  • Replied in The Y.O.
Ken, as always, I like hearing the background information about the subject that you show us. Thanks for sharing it, as they say. The image itself is interesting and you're generally getting nice ...
  • Nice series of images, Bobby. They are well seen. I don't know why but in recent years I've been really impressed with the B&W images coming from the D700 (that's not taking away from your own very ...
  • Surprised in a way, but I liked this image straight away. Simple yet compelling, it's a lovely composition for me. Well done.
  • Replied in Cristina Kahlo
Cristina seems adept in the craft of photography. Certainly very artistic and able to turn her hand at will with each subject. We could all learn something from her.
  • I like the second image. The expressions on the faces of the young boys looks like they are expressing their happiness in that moment of time. Also, the receding water ripples from inflated tube ...
  • Very clever image, in my book. Agree with frettigui's  observations that the overall composition has more merit and more impact  than a cropped version of the image. Well done.
  • Fair play to you! You've done a decent job of capturing some of the wild beauty of Scotland. Well done.
  • Another interesting lady from your collection of characters that I already told you I am very envious of... :-( There is a kinda diagonal banding behind the lady and something below her ear that ...
  • A great collection of images! Agree with Ken's comments in that there is marvellous potential in that location. BTW, I am impressed with the quality of the files from your  RX100 camera, but more ...
  • Interesting image here Mo. For me,the black plastic watch strap is unfortunate and takes a little from the strong, working hands and wrists. Also, maybe a bit more burning and dodging would help, IMO.
  • Replied in Lady in b&w
Vidau, Great potential with this lady but I find hotspots on her forehead, lower neck and collarbone area of her shirt/blouse. Maybe this high contrast was intended by you as I know you've taken ...
  • Replied in The Seat
Thanks a lot Mo! Glad you liked it.
  • Replied in The Seat
Thanks Ken. I saw this seat in the distance while in a higher placed car park and made my way down to it thinking there was a potential image to be had . Used Silver Efex in PP.

Thank you Richard. The mountains of Mourne area is indeed a lovely location. Not too far from this area they film much of the scenes from the TV series, Game of Thrones.
