On photo Trees in the Mist in the Why shoot film. challenge (12 comments in total)

Lovely atmospheric image.
A very small drawback, for me, is the main tree touching the top of the frame but overall , it's still a wonderful image.
Congrats.

Wonderful image that's well composed and seen.
Hard to believe it's going on 26 years of age but makes me glad I kept my own FM2 and few AIS lenses.
Congrats.

On photo Looking Up in the Black & White Photo of the Week #16 challenge (5 comments in total)

Really good architectural shot and well composed.
I note a long exposure from the cloud blur in the sky, so assuming you used an ND filter.
Can I ask, does the longer, rather than normal, exposure help with lighting the image more?
Well done.

I like the lighting you have achieved here. It does invoke of earlier era images of the movie stars such as Lauren Bacall (who was,in her day, quite beautiful).
Not perfect, but very, very good.

Reasonably good capture for such a precious moment of time.
Difficult to do an image well in this situation but like your effort here. The lighting helps a lot.
In this situation, many of us defer to a younger Demi Moore's pregnant image on the front cover of Vanity Fair taken, I believe, by Annie Liebovitz.
Regards and well done.

Nice composition with the almost diagonal placing of the face in the frame.
Also, like the expression which is neutral or you could say none at all.
Finally, she is a beautiful woman and that always helps. :)
Congrats.

I saw some of your B&W images of Monument valley and enjoyed them also.
However, this colour image is great, really like the composition.
Well done.

Looks like a great studio shot. How did you manage to get him to stay still while you set up all those lights? :)
Joking aside, you've done a very nice B&W conversion here.
Well done.

Wonderfully conceived image.
The speedlite idea was well thought out and calculated. Looks like a beam of heavenly light hitting the girl.

Great capture.
Futuristic looking aircraft that oozes potential menace and carnage for any unfortunate prey.

Great capture (well worth the $3 you gave the guy).
Looks like a scene straight out of one those good oul spaghetti western movies.
Well done.

Great image!
Considering it was taken 12 years ago with an earlier era digital camera that, in modern digital technology terms, many would dismiss as a dinosaur :) .

Wonderful fireworks capture and I love the people silhouettes in the image, especially the larger two in the foreground.
If anything, I would've liked to have seen more space at top of the fireworks but that's just a minor niggle.
Very well done!

Really well captured.
Great character in this dog's face.
It reminds me of some older men I've known over the years who would have a very similar look/expression.
Well done.

Lovely atmospheric image of a lovely model.
The light is wonderful and the very shallow depth of field works well.I love how her hand fades off at the wall.
I'm assuming this is natural light although clever photographers sometimes place a light or flash in the window to replicate the natural stuff.
Well done.

Like this image, the reflection is well seen in the composition.
But 1/4 second handheld ?!
