The cloud aspect is more or less irrelevant to most. I could care less whether Adobe has cloud storage because I will not use it.

It is the software rental scheme that is making us angry.

I don't know if I would advocate buying an update or anything from a company that behaves like Adobe is.

I hope Corel seizes this opportunity to grab market share away from Adobe!!!

just don't buy any new cameras or install any windows updates or service packs! Any little change to your setup could break compatibility with the now orphaned CS6 and force you into Adobe's Cloud...

I think that's the main reason anyone ever upgrades Photoshop anymore--it's either for camera raw or because of compatibility issues with new OS or computer hardware.

Other software companies will only do this if it is a success for Adobe.

That is why we, as consumers, must send a clear message to the vendors that this is NOT OK. If Adobe reports miserable...

now that I think about it, moire used to be a serious issue when I used D70. I remember having to throw out many shots due to moire back then. Hasn't been an issue for me since D90.

I think that the real reason we are not seeing a true D400 is they are having trouble balancing these huge file sizes with high FPS. I don't know if the technology currently exists to be able to...
