I also have fa 35 f2.It is very sharp wide open .I like this lens .thanks pentax for keeping it in product untill now. what about a fa 35 f1.4 at the same shape and price!
the pentax fa 31 is now 1299$ from 900$.this sigma will be my next purchas for my k5 .I tried the nikon mount version and it is very nice lens.
tamron would you please give pentaxians this lens !

GPW: Scott Kelby hails the D7100 as the low noise champ by a long shot, yet DPR said it falls short of the competition. Who do you believe?
Iwish nikon put the 2 years old sony sensor on D300 body and sell it at 1200$!
LUCKY you are fuji! more than 4 topics on front page!
Ingloryon: Bulk like this and no hotshoe? Why the hell should anyone buy it?
p&s.. who cares about hot shoe or poor vf.It has a good looking and when price is decreased to 319$ like k01 it will sell many!!
Octane: Congrats on 1st place! When I saw your photo I was almost sure it would be a winner, and it turns out I was right! Well deserved and I'm happy being second after such a great shot!
It is the expression momment!congrats!
colesf: The k5IIs has pretty crappy moire. What's curious is that the Canon 5D mk ii and iii both have it just as bad.
considering moire ..pentax 645d is AA free and no complains about moire . my friend has this amazing tool using it in studio especialy.. and in land scape some times. he never complain about moire. is k5IIs some thing different\!!
neo_nights: Wow! The K5-IIs is the new High ISO king for APS-C cameras! Impressive, indeed!
Good work pentax.I like the pentax approach in that way.If you have a very capable camera/k5/ why I should go to a may be weak sensor/24mp/!but dont give me an old sensor in the same price as a new one!
Matthew Miller: I wonder if it might make sense to have completely separate silver/gold awards for video and for still photography? They're really very different use cases, and I know there's a trend towards converged devices, but it's a shame that a camera which really focuses on being a great camera gets dinged in the awards because it's not a camcorder.
the absence of video feature/hope that/ .. may encourage manufacturers to use the great ccd sensors again !
fdfgdfgdgf: I thought after the Pentax K-30, DPreview will post full reviews only.
It may be better to hire a sufficient number of specialists to reduce the period of delay revisions.I f you agree Iam ready!hahah
pentax k5 body with fuji sensor and pentax litds lenses.
Mssimo: As the camera I have with me 99.9%..thank you DPreview for doing this review! Now back to work on those lens reviews! ;)
may be A quick review for k30 will be good .
Prognathous: No articulated screen... bad move Pentax.
well done keeping this perfect body and not using the sony 24 mp sensor. 16 mp sensor is trusted .
topstuff: Very good news !
This clearly indicates two things:
1, Ricoh have ambitions for the brand and plan to bring out more cameras.
2, While the K-01 is funky, strange and pretty left-field, and Pentax are to be praised for daring to be different, they also have new DSLR's in the pipeline.
This has made my day !
thanks ricoh..thanks pentax.go ahead!!your k01 is interesting and not like the others.it is k mount mirror less and that is all talks.!
John Mackay: I wish I could afford to fly to London to see this exhibition. I was so sad at his passing. I remember Yul Brynner mainly for his portrayal of the rogue cowboy in the movie Westworld and for for his role in the TV anti-smoking campaign when I was a kid (I'm 50 now) His words still ringing in my ears "Whatever you do, don't smoke." I never knew he was an avid photographer. I wish some of these exhibitions could make it online so to speak so everyone could enjoy them.
first time to know that he was a photographer.I like his films and his style.
they left me alone!!!
a little boys back home in a small egyotion village.
Elaka Farmor: wow
would like to be under 500$ but 600$ is reasonable also I will buy one in that price.
