On DJI Phantom 3 Standard photography drone unveiled article (73 comments in total)

I have the Advanced version (I think the camera is better). Like the Haters of drones, I do agree the noise is a big issue for others, and I rarely use it now for this reason.

In terms of the drone "blocks" others' view, I think if you are careful, it is easy to avoid.

For the fun part, I think a drone is so much playable than a Pro grade lens (not even those super teles). If there is no one around, I really enjoy to take it out. The DJI product is wonderfully designed, well made, reliable, and quite resilience. The rotter blades hits trees and got damaged (too laze to install the protection guard in the beginning, because it won't fit into the case unless you take the guard out, which is not that simple - need a better case), but the thing still fly back safely. Replace them with a new pair, it is happy again.

The big problem is "if everyone fly a drone", the sky will be a mess. I would assume some sort of regulation will be needed :)

It looks like they are the Canon/Nikon with an adapter, and you can't take it out.

If Nikon pay attention to Fuji's X forums, and how many Nikon-Fuji adapters sold, it is not hard to figure out that those are the people Nikon LOST (with me being one of them). Nikon 1 is a disaster, face it.

On Nikon D800 and D800E 36MP full-frame DSLRs announced article (271 comments in total)

Looks like a very complete and powerful tool. No too excited about the huge pixel count, but I guess it won't be too bad (for processing time, continue shoots, noise level, etc.).

I don't understand why Nikon needs a separate control for still photo and movie. I can be integrated with the main on/off switch, right?

On the D700, when you use MLU with self-timer, the default delay is only 2s. I don't know if D800 make it customizable.

On Sigma 105mm F2.8 EX DG Macro now available article (94 comments in total)

This price seems unreasonably high compare with Nikon's 105/2.8 VR. Need to see the justification.
