It depends on what the client ultimately wants.  Some clients are satisfied with shots that look like they were done for a year book or at Olan Mills, other clients may want a fully re-touched shot...

Lovely shots....my favorites are by far the sunset ones with the cactus.  Did you use HDR for that?  I find that those sunset scenarios work very well with HDR.

I think these are good shots but some of the HDR-type ones are far too "cooked" IMO such as the carriage and Eiffel Tower.  There's halo'ing going on there that I would try to avoid. My best advice...

True.  It's many times possible to make a photo like this interesting through some PS work but really the source picture suffers from being un-interesting in composition.

I agree.  You need to just dive in an struggle through it for about a week then it will start to feel natural and be one of the best tools.
