Will it be before or after the 100-400?

That's a 18-55 right? Cleaning fungus like that is usually not a problem, but getting inside the rear group on that lens is likely next to impossible.
-
I used to own a 7D and used its flash exactly twice - when I unpacked it and before selling it. Needless to say I don't miss it one second on FF.

The most economical solution is to buy a cheap Chinese adapter, like the ubiquitous big_is, but I guarantee you that it will focus past infinity. I have 8 adapters for EF and 4/3 and only one of...

The math suggests that it is about 5 times better.

If the AF is true USM I'll buy it on the spot. Money has been already set aside. In fact, the next Canon lens I buy will be the new 50, until then I'm not spending a penny on Canon glass.

That MDP has got to be what, 20 years old? Too much risk in my book.
-
On the bright side this is what probably made it possible for Sigma to start releasing high quality lenses.

Think of it in terms of $/per stop. Then it becomes rather reasonable. Of course it's a different kind of stop compared to aperture and ISO.

I just tried focusing rings on three canon lenses I have on hand - all rubber pieces lifted easily with a nail. Of course it's easy for me to say after taking off a few dozens of them, but trust...

It's just a piece of rubber - it's really not that different from taking the rubber band from a bunch of broccoli crowns.
-
Rubber grips can be easily replaced - takes seconds, well, minutes if it's a wide grip. Just lift the edge with your nail or plastic fork and peel it off. Canon will sell you replacements if the...

Why don't you get something cheap? Like 40/2.8 or 50/1.8. Then, when you get the hang of it you'll be able to decide for yourself what do you want - faster, better quality, wider, better AF.

Doesn't Sony have a 18-55 lens similar to Canon's kit lens?
-
I saw a 70D at the store last night. It didn't have a 40mm as a kit lens.
-
Actually, I would say that the ice is too dark, and the shot as a whole is underexposed. From where I sit it should be at least half-stop brighter. In fact, I think going a full stop would not...
-
Because when you are shooting just your child, not the entire team you have to move to the spot his action mostly is.
These other three, all four really, have the same answer - if you are...

It may come out in 2014. Or not. If it does, it will likely cost $1,995 for body only. I will not buy it right away - i got tired of waiting and bought something else. I may buy it later on -...

a. It would not be enough to cover the entire rink
b. No rink manager in his right mind would aloow that
c. You would be limited to home games
d. There'd be no end to parents complaints
