I agree. How you take a simple understated camera like the G15 and turn it into this is beyond me.

I agree. It makes my eyes bug out after a while.

One thing I've found to work around it is to use the reader function on my web browser. I'm on Safari, FYI.

If you want it, keep and eye on the Amazon page.  They keep coming and going as Amazon gets more stock.  Every few hours they are there then gone again.

You've just got to use M mode if that's what you want to do. I don't know why it behaves this way, and it is a bit annoying, but at least there is that work around.
