Come again? My latest m4/3 lenses, the 12-35 and 35-100 panny lenses have switches. Panny still used physical switches for all lenses that have IS.
Maybe on the Oly side it's different since they...

Sure. That'll happen right after Obama and Boehner become drinking buddies.

We'll see. But I doubt we'll see anything that revolutionary from Sony when it comes to glass.

My back and shoulders care after several hours of tramping around. If I didn't have to lug the stuff, size wouldn't matter to me, either. But it does for some of us and having nice light bodies is...

Funny, after reading the replies here I'm guessing I'm not the only one who is very tired of lugging a big DSLR with big glass. I dumped all my Canon FF gear a while back and haven't missed it, as...

Like the other posters have said, we all have different definitions. I'd take a single m4/3 body, the Panny GH3, and two lenses: the 14-140 and 7-14. You're covered from 14mm to 280mm (equivilant)...

Speaking as a former Canon FF user, and now m4/3 user, size and weight are key. If the camera bodies are small, but the lenses are the same as other FF lenses, huge, then it won't work for me. The...

Maybe than can shrink them a little, but when you're covering an image circle that size, you need big glass. Can't violate the laws of physics.

m4/3 is my future, and present, but clearly it's not for everyone. Some shooters will always need higher IQ, some will need more speed, and others will need some other feature. Whatever. Right now...

I've been there a few times, and the dam faces south. Any time of day is OK, but the best light is actually mid day.
The 24-70 is OK from the bridge, but my favorite shot of the damn is a fisheye...

Nicely done. Great subject matter and nicely framed.

I thought that, as well. I've got to wonder why Tamron chose that focal length range in the first place? Why not introduce a lens that fills a gap? Like a 12-55 2.8/4?

For the USA, there's this site:

I'll second the vote for The Photographer's Ephermeris. I use it on a smart phone and it's excellent. You always know where the light will be on any given day, and at any hour. Moonrise and...

I like this shot a lot better with the water frozen since I can see the patterns in the water after it has gone over the dam (which can't be seen). This shot was take in 2006 during a flood. This...

Nobody seems to like that big white building, but it does provide a nice vantage point for a shot of the ancient center of Rome.
The Ancient Center from the Altare della Patria.

I guess you've never compared IQ from the GH2 and GH3, otherwise you'd have never made those statements. It's bigger, better handling, and, yes, produces much better stills and video than the GH2.

No lions this time, I'm afraid! But the guide did tell us that while the Romans used lions to enhance some fights, they never fed Christians to the lions. It is quite a place.

Nice, sharp, and compact lens that focuses well, but not too quickly. Also there's no IS on the lens so having in-body IS in the GX7 will be a big help for low light conditions.
I had one, but sold...

Thanks! I got lucky with the light. Cloudy before, cloudy after, but for a half hour inside the arena, it was nice. And yes, Photoshop does a nice job with panos.
