Maybe not that big deal in practice but the 50L has focus shift (close focusing might not always be precise).
Also, the apertures are the same but as 85mm is longer in focal length it gives you...

Very happy about focussing on editing. The healing brush alone makes me very happy.

What info would you get from (heavily) processed images about a camera or carefully chosen peak moment of light when all the cameras are capable to get the shot, due to well lit scene and the lack...

Most imaging needs are served today by something which has in addition an imaging device.Bigger sensor compacts bring back the fun what taking pictures is about, coupled with pretty decent IQ and...

The "standard" replacement cycle is already longer for the time being:3800 September 20063880 September 20093900 nothing in September 2012So my guess is somewhere this year, might be again in...

All very nice! I believe it is not the camera only ;-)Below are my favourites of your shots. Wait a minute, looks like all left are in b&w :)

Looks very promising! As Fuji seems to be committed to the X-Trans hopefully raw-developers take a note here, current Adobe conversion doesn't look good.

It is pure business calculation - looking at the competition landscape Canon decided that FW update in the case of the 7D will do (instead of pushing to 7D2). Nothing, I repeat nothing has to do...

If you are concerned with new camera support, then Adobe has made quite a big effort for camera makers to use an open standard format. One can only blame camera makers here.

Most important, new sensor tech with the best DR in the industryNo banding24-28MP8-10fps1D bodythe ISO would be as good as the 1Dx when downscaled to 18MPNow that is what I'd call a professional...

I might get one, very nice concept. P.S. Sony has Full HD @ 60fps, lovely.

You didn't miss it when Canon told the 1Dx replaces/merges both, the 1D and 1Ds?In the light of that official statement I believe it is not out of the context, this is what Canon promised it to...

The X100 has a very small lens, leaf shutter, ultra quiet operations, OVF. I expect the X200 to continue that trend. The X-E1 seems to be how it is described - a cheaper option of the X1 Pro.

I have had a Canon D60, a 5D, a 5D2 and now I got myself a D800 which works perfectly fine for me and is the true upgrade to my 5D2.I was waiting for 2 options from Canon - a pro or a semi-pro high...

The X100 is very different from X1 Pro so any X1 Pro alternative version is not going to replace the X100. Namely, much smaller lens, leaf shutter, very quiet operation. This is what is probably...

As soon as Canon has new sensor tech ready, free of banding and with high DR.The current keyword for Canon is versatility (seems to be a costly one).

Yes, but this is external factor, not a camera property. You can't change distance in camera, but one can change focal length.I don't believe so - test yourself:1. take a shot with an FF camera
2....
-
Yes, but it is not correct.Because the subject distance is different.DOF is dependant on lens' aperture and focal length what concerns camera parameters; and also of subject distance (not a camera...

Sensor size has nothing to do with it, it is the focal length in combination with aperture.
This concerns depth of field, bokeh is more a quality of a lens.
Activity older than 12 months is not displayed.
