About me:

A software engineer by profession, Abhijit has been keenly interested in Photography since middle school. However, it was not until the Digital era that he was really smitten by the shutter bug. Abhijit’s photographic interest is primarily in nature and landscape. His images appear in and have received recognition in CNN iReport, National Geographic Your Shot, BetterPhoto.com, 500px.com and ViewBug.com. Some of his favorite photographers are Galen Rowell, David Muench, John Shaw and Brenda Tharp. When he is not doing photography, Abhijit likes to watch Crime and Horror shows, do computer programming and read Photography books.

Note that I'm talking of the 800E. What problem are you referring to and does, in your opinion, the 800E has that problem too?

Will it take CF cards? Just asking if I need to keep those from my D700, otherwise I'm sold.
