forpetessake: If you want a superzoom, just get any lightweight Nikon/Canon DSLR and attach an 18-200 zoom to it and it will be ahead of this Panasonic in every way. Or if you want a mirrorless camera, get a Sony A6000 with 18-200 zoom, or Samsung with 18-200, or Olympus with 14-150.
Only those who are interested in half baked 4k video may find this camera interesting.

Yeah Yeah.

The good is that there are brands and cameras for every taste and needs.

This is a great camera, I use Micro Four Thirds System but I will buy the Lumix FZ-1000 and maybe in the future with the advances of sensors I will use only 1" sensor.

Well done Panasonic.

trunksye: Why wouldn't one choose a combo like: Olympus M43+ lens 75-300mm? That's 150-600mm equivalent. I know there is this aperture factor, but the large sensor and better iso compensate a bit for this. And you get the flexibility of switching lens...

I have two Panasonic Lumix Micro Four Thirds cameras and 4 lenses, but I like the FZ1000 much, IQ will not be equal to M 4/3 but image quality is really good for the sensor used, indeed is really nice to have all in a camera for most of the situations.

Well done Panasonic Lumix.
(besides all that Panasonic has already proved to be very good on making lenses with the cooperation of Leica)

It looks good and must be good, Fuji has always good sensors.

But I still like better the Panasonic Lumix cameras and lenses, specially for the smaller size.

Quality these days is at a high level on almost every brand, so that won't worry me.

This is a camera that I don't need any review to buy it. The look and the specs are enough for me to buy it without doubts.

Extremely Well Done Nikon.

It seems that Dpreview completely missed the philosophy of the Nikon Df, and to who it is aimed.

Anyway well done Nikon.

Should had a Gold Award, from what I have seen on other camera reviews.

But things are not linear in this reviews world.

Besides the good retro look this is an important argument:

"Naturally, there will be some photographers who will see the Df purely in terms of a lower-cost shell for the D4's very capable sensor, and might not care about the design."

Great, it is the Nikon F of the digital era.

I love the looks, and it seems very solid.

It is a camera I want to buy almost only for the good retro look.

Well done Nikon.

Well done Panasonic Lumix.

This camera will extend the already good offers on cameras and lenses, to the great Micro 4/3 System.
