Bigger Tom: Possibly stupid question, but I've got the FV-5 app running on my Samsung S4 and it claims to offer "RAW" - you can change settings to output PNG files which *appear* not to have had noise reduction or sharpening. Is this just software trickery, or does this mean the Nokia isn't the only/first to offer RAW capability?

Interesting. So what is it doing? As Schwermetall says it allows you to alter sharpness/contrast/saturation - does it apply these settings on top of the S4's default processing of the camera output?

Great to see some serious mobile phone cam control apps out there which realise not all users want endless arty filter options. If you've got a list of apps you're planning to review, could you add Shot Control and Camera FV-5 (both for Android) to it - both seem to have similar "serious" aspirations and I'd be interested to see how they rate before I spend the money on one, or the other!

cosmo13: So where is the mast with the camera? I see nothing attached to the Rover extending out of the frame to the camera position. In other words there is nothing going from where the camera must be to the Rover.

Yep - looks like they've stitched several of the mosaic shots so they overlap and therefore get rid of the camera arm - if you look here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Curiosity_rover you can see what should be sticking out the "front" of the rover (top picture)
