I understand what you mean by mistakes un composition BUT
I see a lot of "mistakes" from well known photographers where things were not cropped out, where the angle is not the best, where things...

These pictures are part of a project I started yesterday. The city of Falls Church Virginia is a suburb of Washington DC that goes back 350 years. It is currently undergoing redevelopment. As a...

I have the Fuji X10 which I like a lot, but not have the Fuji X-E1. I like it so much that it have been more than my walk around camera. Gotta love the 14 mm f2.8.

Since you have the X-E1, pony up the $$$ and buy the 14 mm f2.8. I have the lens and you can believe the reviews. There is nothing better on the market.
When buying equipment only cry once.

Many thanks for the HM and congratulations to the winners.

I don't do a lot of action and have the AF set to a simple mode. For those who do shoot sports, you have a lot of flexibility, but with flexibility comes complexity.

Personally I found that the Fuji X-E1 had the most intuitive user interface of any camera I have encountered. However, I have been taking pictures since high school. That was 50 years ago, and...

Right now I am running a dual system. For portraits, it is hard to beat my Canon 5D MKIII with 85 mm 1.8 lens. Also the lack of hi speed sync makes it difficult to take advantage of large...

I currently shoot with a Canon 5D MKIII. In December of last year I bought the Fuji X-E1 plus 35 mm f1.4. Recently I added the 14 mm f2.8 and have the 55-200 on order.
Most of the time I don't...

FWIW, my favorite 24 mm landscape lens on my 5D MKIII is the 24 mm TS-E. I have the old version and is works just fine. Love that lens.
Having said that, I am now traveling a lot lighter and have...

Not true. I commonly print at 12x18 inches, the largest my printer will go. The sweet spot on my X10 is f4, but is sharp wide open, a terrific lens. My f1.4 35 mm Fujinon is an excellent lens.
I...

Every once in a while, I play a game with photography classes I teach. I pass around a bunch of pictures, some taken with various iterations of the 5D with L lenses, some taken with a 40D with...

I was shooting a figure model with her 11 month baby. For some reason something did not work when I did the trial and I got just an outline with the dark hair prominent. I loved the shot and have...

Still like my X10. My concerns are poor ability to frame the picture and poor RAW support from Adobe. Great lens, love the IQ.

I generally print my own pictures. But when I want a lot printed, I go to COSTCO. Like Walmart, they do a terrific job.

I have sold stuff on Craigslist. Despite saying local only, I would receive an e-mail saying that they would like the camera as a present for a son or daughter. They would pay $100 in addition to...

I teach an evening photography class. Since we don't talk about software, almost all of the students shoot RAW. I improve a lot of the images in front of the class by some simple tweaks. You...
