I've been shooting with a 5D1, while waiting for something with better AF to come along. Now just to find money...

I never bought a 5DII because the AF was no better than that in the 5D1 - Canon have finally given me a reason to upgrade: 61 point AF with 41 cross type sensors!

1D X AF alone is reason enough...

Still no built-in AF illuminator!!!
What good is all that ISO if you can't focus in the dark?

I think 18 MP is the sweet spot, but I'll take 22MP over 32MP any day.

I can't wait to see how the AF compares between this and the Nikon.
My money's on the Canon.

I check their ebay store every now and then, this is one lens I'm getting asap.

12 to 18MP is the sweet spot, imho.

I'd prefer a cheap 18MP FF SLT. Plastic, compact, light, and CHEAP. It's not going to happen, but I'd love it.

Sony can offer more lenses as time passes, m43 sensor will always be small.

Also, focus peaking in Nex cameras means that MF lenses are actually viable.

Can't believe they actually stole the Nex tilting mechanism for the LCD.

I'm betting it'll look even uglier if you put it next to a Nex 7.

The Nex 7 is better looking, more compact, and has a much larger sensor.
Then there's also the bonus of focus peaking.

The Nex is smaller while having a bigger sensor.

@Mitsuoka The Tamron wil cost 1/3 to 1/2 of what the Canon costs, and I'm willing to bet IQ is going to be comparable, plus it's got IS.

Waiting for reviews, but so far the new Tammy is the clear...
