  • The 24-120 f4  is a good buy for the kit price. But if you really are on a budget I would recommend the Nikon 28-105 D, it has nice image quality and a very handy macro feature.
  • I'm really surprised you don't like the 85 1.4 G - I own the 85 1.4 D and I think it's incredible. Are you sure you are not just taking pixel peeping to a new level?
  • I've owned both, the 16-80 is decent on crop although I did notice some corner issues. The 24-120 is easily a step above in build and IQ. Personally I would choose dependent on what size sensor is ...
  • Oh dear - someone is feeling a little insecure with their camera choice πŸ˜‚. Never a good idea to vent when you've been on the booze 🍺🍺🍺🍷🍷🍷
  • I must admit the VSCO presets are quite nice, but very pricey for what they are - now NIK software is free, my desire to purchase VSCO has diminished.
  • 60mm 2.8 D macro - an absolute gem of a lens & can be picked up for a great price; a very versatile lens.
  • Replied in I have both.
EVFs don't have the DR and really struggle in bright light, it's just a fact. I own both, use both and enjoy both. But they have different pro's and cons, but a pro for the OVF is its viewing ...
  • Replied in I have both.
Utter BS - I was out in the sun with my D750 & XT1 today, the optical finder is perfect for bright sunlight, the EVF is not. Again this is fanboy hot air because you want to protect your ...
  • Replied in Points
πŸ˜‚ so looking through a screen gives you a feeling of connection, and seeing the world how it is leaves you disconnected? This is quite possibly the funniest thing I've read on dpr. We all can see ...
  • Replied in Points
Well you are only reinforcing my point - your successful shot are irrelivent as the point was that if you learned to expose on an evf, you will have a harder time doing it on an OVF. Now these ...
  • Replied in I have both.
Now try shooting through an evf in bright sunlight...... You'll be wishing you had an OVF. If you need to chimp, you can only do it on a screen, that is true.
  • Replied in Points
My response was to MediaArchivists comment. Its always bugged me that you can't just leave a last comment in threads on dpr, you actually have to reply to another's comment - in flat view I always ...
  • Replied in Points
I beleive it's called learning / skill. Tbh it's not even that difficult, if you can't learn how to meter through an Ovf then photography will certainly give you more headaches. If you struggle to ...
  • Replied in Agreed.
So. Actual facts are now dismissed by fanboys as 'troll videos' πŸ˜‚ Lol - okay clever cloggs, let's see you put your point across against this points made in the video, we'll soon see who owns the ...
  • Replied in I do.

  • Replied in I do.
Batteries are pretty poor on my Fuji kit, but it's not too much of biggie to carry more. 2000 shots on an evf camera is a silly claim though :-D
  • Replied in I do.
Thank you for reinforcing my point.
  • Replied in I do.
Utter garbage, evf is not better to look through at all and you know it :D those among us who own both and do not have tinted fanboy goggles on can easily understand. As I said earlier it has some ...
  • Replied in Loads?
No one can deny that a FF optical viewfinder Is better and a lot more natural to look through than any evf will ever be. But EVFs do have some advantages especially for those learning the skills ...
  • Its kind of irrelivent - OVF will always have a more natural, cleaner experience no matter how good the evf is. I beleive DSLR manufacturers will incorporate a hybrid viewfinder in the near ...
