  • The M240 was announced at the 2012 Photokina, so we are NOT dealing with a 3 years cycle but with a 4 year one! Cheers John
  • There are a few important differences. 1. You will get a lightroom license with the 114. No license with the Pana 2. Resales value of a Leica is considerable higher than a Panasonic. 3. 3 Years of ...
  • My M8 has also only 10 MP :-) Not soo important to me, nice small files do also have some advantages, and I do not care to take a T lens with me, knowing that I can attach a Nocti road the corner ...
  • 23m Summicron T lens is indeed a nice add on for the SL. Below picture SL+T23 at ISO50 (I still do not understand why the Autoiso goes below the native ISO of 100)
  • Steve Huff is right, it is THE CAMERA OF THE YEAR! Got it last week, and indeed what a camera. Using it with an 50APO Summicron lens, most likely the best combo you can find on earth. Expensive? ...
  • Why not try an M8???
  • If fun is important for you, why not try a Leica M8? They are around for about 1000 USD! And a Zeiss or Voigtländer lens on a Summicron 40mm, that will not take you more then 1300 USD. One thing I ...
  • Thats what I did today, sold my m-p and placed the order for the SL to use it with my Nocti. J
  • Get an M8 (1000 Euro) and a 40mm Summicron (300 Euro) Better Leica is not possible for this budget! The M8 is awesome, and B&W images are excellent and can be compared to the Monochrome! (NO JOKE) G ...
  • Replied in m8
Bets cheap Leica solution is to get a 40mm Summicron!
  • Replied in m8
I sold my Leica M and went back to the M8. Love it for B&W, but color is also not bad if you use a UV Filter. The M8 was brought on the market in 2006, so the earliest cameras are already 9 years old.
  • Replied in M8?
Have a look at the M8 Facebook group. Some stunning images! https://www.facebook.com/groups/326047637595813/ J
  • Leica Q with handgrip, fingerloop and holster! All fits nicely together! John
  • Replied in Leica Q Sensor
Yes i'm from Germany but I do not work for Leica. Have a look at this video at 0.59min where the developer says the sensor is exclusively developed to the Leica Q. SO NO SONY! Is this evidence ...
  • Replied in Leica Q Sensor
Its definively NOT a Sony sensor.
  • I just had a look on the homepage from Meister in Berlin. The batteries have the same name BP-DC12. Characteristics are identical, 7,2V 1200 mAh. The prices are indeed also in Germany a bit ...
  • Get a battery from the V-lux 114, one third of the price and exactly the same! Original Leica. 190 USD is a ripp off! John
  • The Leica links to the manuals were functioning yesterday, and indeed not anymore today. Maybe they have discovered something in the manual that has to be corrected. If you give me your email ...
  • Wrong. Page 250 of the user-manual says: Focal length 28mm 35mm 50mm 24/15/8 MP 6000x4000 px 4800x3200 px 3360x2240 px
