Look at Sirui. They are made in China, but very good quality, both heads and tripods. Several of their new models have a 2 piece center section, and one leg that removes to become a monopod. I have...

You don't know when I knew it happened, but if you did watch the whole thing, based on your comments, you have an issue with comprehension. Also, an article on Yahoo this morning said that the...

Not much to add to the other comments, except he didn't have the right throttle dialed in. Chaser sure knew you were filming her.

They knew the driver would likely be unarmed. Bikers don't pull this in states with right to carry laws.
-
Apparently you never saw the original helmet cam video. There was no doubt who was at fault.
-
Either you failed to watch the whole video, or it has been taken down. In either case, Private Custard has filled you in nicely. I came upon a similar event in Houston a few years ago just after...

And no comment about Hiram Walker. Canadian Club or Seagrams, maybe. ;)

Guess you didn't watch all of the footage. The biker got what he deserved.

The chasers up front! It took you long enough. Liked the video, and Floyd Cramer too. "Canadian Sunset" is an appropriate tune for the video.

Jumping ship implies a problem with Nikon. You just changed planes en-route to a different destination. Best wishes

I used the 17-50 2.8 for several years, and was completely satisfied. The 24-70 gives you a longer length, but you lose on the wide end. Which ever works for your needs.
FWIW, I sold mine after I...

I have one that I have used on a D90 and now D7000. I don't use it much, but I have been 100% satisfied with it.

Sorry, I was too lazy to write manual focus, which is what you stated. "Most pictures were taken with manual focus." It is possible you got the focus off. Other than macro, I see no reason not to...

You could contact Nikon, and if the batteries are in warranty (one year in the US) get the funky one replaced. It seems you have a workaround, so it it was me, I would just use them in the manner...
