Beyond the 7.5 FE there are few options. Maybe the 9-18 Oly but when focusing the image size is heavily changing, not really nice for video.
With the FE you can try to defish, look for tutorials...

My basic set is 14-45, 20, 45-200 but I won't recommend the tele zoom. Focus is hunting at long end on G1, GF2 and OM-D. Better go with the newer tele zooms.

Try RAW+JPEG shoots and check for same pattern with different RAW converters and different parameters. Also try Olympus viewer on RAW. If it can be reproduced its already in sensor output....

GF2 and GF3 are different her. No submenue and no focus disable on GF2 :-(
-
Hmm, the GF2 got hacked. Did you check personal view regarding touch options the hack provides? If one could simply disable the focus point selection on touch I would already be happy.

My first choice would be the Pana 14mm - Damn small, good and always ready for family or landscape.
You'll need a zoom, just choose one but avoid the Oly 14-42 MkI and the Pana 14-42 MkI. The rest...

Pana 14-42 is quite large and at most medium IQ. When collapsed the Olympus lens fits much better on GX1.
The Panasonic MkII version is much smaller but is still very new, prices have to...

Good and cheap lenses are Oly 14-42 MKII kit zooms and Panasonic 14mm: both quite cheap from broken up kits) and Oly 40-150 is also below $100 occasionally. None of these is stabilized though.

Best match on MFT would be the Mitacon 35 0.95 MF lens for AOV and DOF.
MFT lens overview is available in some places, e.g. http://hazeghi.org/mft-lenses.html

For Olympus there's no big difference: Either by a sensor from Panasonic or from Sony. Buying all sensors from one source gives them higher volume thus lower price. And the Olympus cams aren't...

First and second last. 'Archive Utopia. Project Brasília, Lina Kim & Michael Wesely' exhibition came to my mind again. Thanks for this.

First version of GF6 sensor in G3 (Mid 2011), first version of G6 sensor in GH2 (Spring 2011), no real difference here.
The G3/GX1/GF6 sensor is analog out, the GH2/G5/G6 is digital out. Go...

1/1250s is quite fast for an owl (Bubo bubo I guess). Ignore the ISO and the noise, first stop motion blur and get enough DOF. You can fight noise in PP, but you can't add DOF or freeze later.
PS:...

Olympus 75/1.8 exists, Panasonic 150/2.8 already on roadmap so a 300/4 looks reasonable. Also a fast 100-300/2.8-4 to complement the 12-35 and 35-100 would be nice.
Question always is: Any market...

Started with a G1, later added a GF2 for size and video. Replaced the G1 with en EM-5. Now the GF2 + 20mm is with us nearly every time where weight/size of the OM-D equipment doesn't make...

For my daughter (10yr) I would choose the GX1. Good quality camera with enough controls to learn about photography. For acceptance (size wise) I would add the 14mm pancake lens. If a zoom is...

Coming from a G1 my summary: IQ, DR and ISO are a big step forward.
For handling I got used to the two wheels by now, a plus for the OM-D. The biggest step backward: You can't carry the cam, one...

Some E-P5 features should be possible with OM_D too:
- extended ISO low (ISO 100)
- short release mode without IBIS
- auto panning detection for IBIS
- better AF point size selection
- histogram in...

Look for a 16MPix m43 cam on sale. All cams of this generation provide good IQ, fast AF and some are currently very cheap.
Depends on what you need: For an unobtrusive cam choose a cam like the...

Liked the 12mm shots. Cropping away most of the dark water may improve the image, to dark in the front for me.
For the last FE shot the technique described by Anders may help, see...
