The RRS bottom portion of the grip or their DPMerrill L-plate extends to overlap the bottom of the camera. This extension prevents mounting my grip in the correct position. Best Richard

Alternate lens mount SD1 makes sense to you or me but not to most folks in here or Sigma themselves (yet). Eventually, if Sigma wants to make meaningful DSLR sales, they'll reconsider such option.
