A clear demonstration that you can travel with an X100 and need no more. Very nice.

I have an X100 and the X100s. Your problem is simple. The camera missed the right spot and focus anywhere else. I noticed that in many of the photos I'm taking. I'm still not sure I'll keep the...

Exactly what I thought and what we discussed in my post http://www.dpreview.com/forums/post/51155677
But after using the X100s for the last week and after more than 600 pictures, I will have to...
-
Yep. Exactly what I need. Thank you for the info.

Which remotes are you using?
-
Buy it. A bargain that you would not regret. Probably your friend will do.
-
My point is simple. If you go through the thread I'm sure you will understand it. Basically I'm hesitant because I like what it comes from the X100 a lot and I think I will have to get use to what...
-
I think you are doing the right thing. I'd do the same but the thing is that my X100 killed all my other cameras. I never went back to any of my dslrs. So, since it's the ONLY camera that I use I...

Sorry, I was trying to be funny. In a more serious note, I think the X100s wins in every item you mentioned. The colors are the only one issue that would be a matter of taste in my opinion. But the...

The X100s is better. I like the pictures of the X100 though. Is it clear?
-
Very clear. A lot of good information. Absolutely agree. X100s IQ is definitely better. Colors ARE NOT. Yesterday I was watching a lot of night scenes with street lights and yellows are totally...

It's very interesting what you said Sgoldswo. Probably what you see as weaknesses is what I like. I understand that you are not saying that the X100 sensor is bad. But I see that sensitiveness to...

First of all, I'm not saying I'm right. This is totally subjetive. It's my opinion and I could be totally wrong. Though, it's very difficult to show that feeling. But many of the people here are...

Well, there have been a great improvement already. Let's hope the final LR 4.4 makes things better.
-
Palincss, it wouldn't be a keeper (still not sure) for the reasons Cptrios explain. Exactly that je ne sais quoi. It lacks that but in any other respect is a much better camera, including IQ.
What...

I agree. RAW image quality is not a finish article yet. I was working with LR 4.4 but just for a few hours. I took in consideration what you said about the details slider. Still I don't think that...

I have been shooting with my X100 for a year and a half. I bought an XE-1 with the 18-55 six months ago and realized that it wasn’t the photographic experience I would enjoy. I took me back to my...

I ordered an X100s in USA. I had my X100 for almost 2 years now. I ordered and RETURNED an XE-1 a few months ago because of the artifacts I saw shooting RAW and going through Lightroom. The OOC jpgs...

I bought an x-e1 and I returned it. For personal reasons not because of the camera. But before doing so I tried CO 7.02. And I agree, what I got was superb. Far from what I could do with Lightroom.

I'm waiting for my X-E1. We'll see if we can take the same picture with it. I still see that the IQ of the X100 better. But I'll need to compare both cameras in same conditions. Beautiful picture btw.
