>Now, if only Adobe could work out some way to make you pay them money even if you don't want to upgrade... Isn't that what Creative Cloud is all about? 8-)

Apparently, if you're a current Photoshop CC subscriber (and a registered user of CS3 or above) you'll be automatically entered into this program. I think Adobe has a FAQ about this or soon will.
-
While I'm not too enthusiastic about this either, I should note that only registered users of CS3 and above are eligible for this offer. So it's only available to those who have paid the hundreds...

Camera RAW 7.3 covers the D600. What version of Camera RAW is installed on your computer? (In Photoshop, go to Help/About Plug Ins/Camera RAW). Download the RAW converter, not the DNG...

>It is fairly obvious that the WB is different on the two images of the sky and trees. Since Lightroom 4.4 does not read Nikon's WB setting
Yes, I thought the same when I saw those examples -- and...

You're assuming that Nikon would let you apply an Extended Service Contract to a refurbished camera. I don't think they would, but you should check with Nikon.

It's 169.99 at J&R for an addtional 2 years added to your Nikon warranty.
It extends the warranty, which covers manufacturing defects (like that left focus thing)
The ESC doesn't cover loss or...

I'm pretty certain that Nikon Canada gives you a 2 year warranty. It seems typical that there would be conflicting information on their paperwork.

Thanks! I guess they do have a lot of those envelopes, because they have the same wording on the ESC for the 18-70 kit lens that I got with my D70 in 2005. And the 70-200 f/2.8 I got the same...

I have the 70-200 f/2.8 VR2 and love it, but if you think the f/4 version will work for you, why not rent one for a few days to make sure? LensRentals.com makes it easy and they are a first rate...

Has anyone done this? I bought an ESC for my D800 and I'm pretty sure that Nikon couldn't have made the registration process more confusing.
Though you can buy the ESC at any time during the...

D800, 70-200 VR II, TC-14E II Hmm, this is the first time I've posted a photo on this site, and it looks really soft. Any tips on the proper way to prepare a jpg for this site?

Adobe keeps the latest versions of Lightroom and ACR well coordinated. There may be some differences in the way some of the tools operate, but the underlying RAW converter is the same. So getting...

I use a 3800 and as far as I know, Exhibition Fiber was never one of the media types. I used the profile that Pixel Genius provided when the paper first came out, and I believe they used the...

Good luck with your photo shoot!

You're doing this directly from the camera? I think you'll have better luck if you use a separate card reader.

If you select the clamp with the knob tightener you'll have no problems. I'm using some Kirk plates with my RRS BH-55 (knob clamp) and have had no issues.
-
The main benefit of the L Plate is that you don't have to re-orient your setup when you flop the platform over into the slot for a portrait view. With the L Plate, you just flip the camera and...
