I will rarely or never buy any product with a non-replaceable battery if a similar alternative product exists, unless the battery life is likely to be longer than the entire product.

I'm glad you like the RX100 interface. Wish I did but it frustrates the hell out of me at times. So, I assume I would be even unhappier with the NEX interfaces in general.

Yes. It's an exe file which can install all of the plugins.

call Nik tech support.

Make sure you save the file to a folder that you label. It should have an exe extension.When you double click it should run the install.
Possibly you downloaded an early version which did not have...
