Anders,
If I focus some way into the scene, the centre foreground is in focus, but the corners are blurred. If I focus closer (i.e. on the foreground itself), the corners come into focus, and the...

Hmm, plenty to think about there!
Just to clarify, my observation is that the sharpest focus for the near corners is closer to the camera than the near centre.

Thanks for the image samples, DM. Although the centre foreground is quite sharp, both images (corrected and uncorrected) seem to show a lot of softness in the bottom corners (to my eye), and look...

Hi,
(I've also asked this question on another forum - apologies to those who will have seen this post before!)
I am using the Pana 7-14mm lens on my GX1 and GH2 cameras. I find the image quality...

The instructions will tell you to turn the camera off before changing lenses. However, I have changed lenses with the camera on for years with various systems (Nikon and Panasonic) and never had a...

Have you tried formatting the card in the camera?

It's basically a digital version of the old Nikon 28ti. Though admittedly the 28ti had a viewfinder. There was a market for it back then, so there probably is now. I don't think it sold as well as...

I think you would be better off buying a used 14mm pancake lens.

I use these on my GX1:http://www.amazon.co.uk/FX-Clear-screen-protector-Panasonic-Lumix-DMC-GX1/dp/B006FN22UCThey fit perfectly, are crystal clear, and do not interfere with the touch screen...

The LVF2 for the GX1 is also pretty good. I have the GH2 as well, and I find the LVF2 to be clearer with less distortion.

I find that surprising. Even at A3+, my medium format scans (made using a high-end desktop scanner from Velvia film) are noticeably better than my 12MP m43 images (taken using a GF1 + 20mm). The...

From what I have seen of the 7-14, 12mm and 25mm lenses they certainly out-resolve the 16MP sensor in my GX1 near the centre of the frame. So yes, I expect they would benefit from a 24MP sensor. I...

The Cokin P system is a good choice. The holder takes 85mm slot-in filters, and is big enough to accommodate pretty much any m4/3 lens apart from the 7-14mm. Having said that, it can be used with...

Well, the old Kodak 126 Instamatic cameras were pretty popular with the consumer public, and they used a square format.Personally I'd LOVE a square sensor (I am used to 6x6 format), but I'm not...

If you shoot 1:1 in RAW, you will end up with a 1:1 RAW file with approx. 12MP.

This converter is for use with 3rd party lenses (e.g. Canon and Nikon) made for larger sensors, to fit them on a m43 body, not for native m43 lenses.

I'm interested to know in what way you think the E-M5 image quality is considerably better than the GX1. What differences do you see in a like-for-like comparison?

"Mobile photography"? What's new? Photography has been mobile for as long as I can remember! Pocket sized cameras go way back to the early 20th century. Perhaps you mean "mobile *phone* photography"?

I am using LR4 with a GX1 and a selection of Panasonic and Olympus lenses. I find I have to check the 'Correct CA' (can't remember the exact terminology) checkbox to correct the CA, even for...

I have noticed field curvature with this lens when shooting landscapes, but for me it affects edge sharpness in the distance (e.g. the horizon and background elements) rather than near corners. I...
