mayurgogoi: 2nd-/you in fact deserve ist from composition-but your pics digitalized, not from today--but sense of photographic language you deserve first!

I appreciate very much your comment, and as you see in the exif data, the photo was taken in february 2004.

santamonica812: I really like the unusual composition. I hate the title . . . lazy and meaningless. Far worse than having no title at all.

Thank you for your comment. I am a photographer, not a poet and also not an english native speaker. So the title is only a description of the situation the picture was taken.

Somehow you are right, concerning the composition.
On the other hand, there would be less backpack stuff (there was really a big pile of it) and the feeling hanging out in the hot sun not so strong.
The cropping would put the horizont almost in the middle, quite boring for me.
Anyway, thanks for your dedicated comment!

jerusalem shutter: really nice photo! proves that its not always in the equipment!

Thank You!
Somehow it is the equipment, because the D3100 is a great camera and more than an entry level. Especially with RAW and ADL on.

nayansoni: Great click !! Was polarizer used in this ?

Thank you for your appreciation!
No polarizer used, straight out of cam - maybe with some
contrast treating.
Sometimes the mediterrean sea is like this, especially with strong winds.
