A straight shot would have been less dramatic, so instead of using the 14mm end of my zoom and backing off, I went in very close to distort these cartoonish characters, plus, it helps that the car...

Every photographer in the world would like a chance to shoot in that canyon. When is the best time to go to avoid the hoards of photographers? You forgot to throw dust in the air! ( just kidding ).

He needed a car to match and the McLaren orange fit the bill. When he gets stopped by the cops ( often! ), he tells them to talk to the snake, that's his official mouthpiece ( when his voluptuous...

OM5 and 7-14mm Panny lens. Up close and personal.
Lots of curves in this one.....

On my Nikon I only have a 17mm so once in a while I want to create a Salvatore Dali-like image and the equivalent 14mm on the Olympus does the trick. I shot it for the "round" shapes.

Same as gasoline. It goes up very quickly but comes down very slowly. That's the business model taught at The Harvard Business School. Many Japanese have gone there.

I wonder when The New York Times will finally decide to do the same? People are so visually illiterate and tasteless that we knew it would come to this. Just look at the content of TV....

Any good/bad criticism from you is a learning experience.

And I call myself Weegee because he was one of the first to do street photography ( with a 4 x 5 speed graphic ). Talk about the weight factor, slowness and all purely manual. When people complain...

In the old days, I use to shoot with a Leica M3 and 50mm. 50 years later, I decided to try digital. The first camera I bought simply had too much shutter lag ( a Canon S95 ). So, I waited and...

Hey Luca, how can you use such a small camera with your big hands? I'm surprised at the shot of the bee. I didn't think the 12-50 could go that close without some extension tubes. Your photos gave...

Surprised they let you photograph that plane! Everything is top secret for the government nowadays. They love photographing us but hate when we photograph them. I was arrested in Moscow in 1987...

Your outdoor night shots are fine. These semi fish-eye get boring rather quickly. A fish-eye should be used very sparingly on special subjects. Granted it's probably a new toy but why now show just...

I have a D700 with 105mmf/2.8 macro that I use for portraits. I want max sharpness to begin with, then, I can always soften or diffuse in Photoshop.
For my OM-5 ( that's what I call it ) I simply...

I noticed that you convert your RGB images to sRGB for the web. Should I be doing that when I submit some of my images to STOCK photo sites? I always assumed that with a wider gamut, RGB would lose...

The old days of photography were like the old days of driving a car. 4 speed manuals with no synchromesh. You had to know how to double-clutch or you would need an expensive transmission rebuild....

I've been leery of using iso 1600 ( being an old film guy where asa 400 was considered fast ( and sometimes grainy ). Now that spring has arrived, time for me to go out on the streets of Boston and...

All great photographers work with what they have. All modern lenses are good enough for 99% of shooters. Although everyone thinks they're in the 1%. Reality check is in order.

I too went with the OM5 ( that's what I call it still owning an OM4 ). I needed a lighter camera for travel and the OM5 seemed to fit my needs. I still have my D700 but use that mainly for studio...
