  • I have exactly the opposite problem.  Mine is so loose I question its effectiveness in maintaining the water resistance.  My solution is some black electrical tape.
  • Welcome to M4/3s!  Hope you enjoy your new camera.  For a bounce flash I had the Oly 300r which was very nice.
  • Had EM5, sold, and now have EM5-2.  I fell for the hype and got EM5-2 for focus peaking with my manual lenses, better video and timelapse, the articulating screen, and the 40mp shots.  None of ...
  • Glad to hear that they fixed it.  I have had mine for almost a year and no issues at all.
  • Submitted a challenge entry Leaf Faries
My daughters helped me rake the yard and decided to burrow into the pile, so before they destroyed the whole thing, I got a few photos.

  • Commented on Rainy day - Black and White challenge

Its a shame that film is a requirement. I have some recent digital photos from this spring's rain showers that would be great.

Hmmm, maybe print them 3x5 on my printer, scan it, then submit the...

  • I regret selling my OMD EM-5 with battery grip to get the OMD Em5 MK2.  I fell for the hype and gear lust.  The MK2 is a nice camera but not enough of an upgrade to justify the cost. Fight the gear ...
  • Submitted a challenge entry Purple Passion
Not sure what type of flower this is, but I got this right after a nice spring shower. Its cropped on the left side to take out part of another flower that was distracting.

  • Replied in Utah
Very nice photos.  I like the ones with the hiker in them the best because it gave a good sense of scale.  I havent been down there since 2010 and Im long overdue to visit southern Utah.  thanks ...

found this browsing today.  I love old lenses and cameras. http://pet a pixel.com/2015/05/15/hacking-a-vintage-1950s-lens-for-a-modern-mirrorless-camera/ Had to add some spaces into the website ...
  • The startup on my EM5 mk2 is about 3 seconds, and feels considerably slower than my mk1 (sold), which I never was annoyed with enough to measure.  I do have a large 64GB card in the MK2 and wonder ...
  • I recently sold the EM-5 and bought the mark II.  You will love the EM5 Mark 1.  It is a great camera.  I regret getting the Mark II as it is just not enough of an upgrade for what I do to justify ...
  • Created discussions Oly 75-300
I saw a thread a few days ago that was extolling the virtues of the Oly 75-300 and it made me want to share the following hummingbird shots from a few years ago.  So I tracked them down and ...
  • I updated the Mark II to 1.1 yesterday and the boot time to photo is improved slightly.   The quick sleep mode is still a waste of time as it puts the camera to sleep after 4 or 5 seconds of no ...
  • I initially hated the Mark II. And regretted selling my em5. Boot up time is horrible. I can turn it on at my waist and pull camera to my eye and still have to wait for it to be ready. Seems worse ...
  • Created questions New OMD EM5 II
Just got EM5 II a few hours ago and have a question. The menus seem much more daunting for some reason than the EM5 I. Is there anyway to just have the back LCD be OFF when I dont have camera to ...
  • Replied in You're right
I remember cleaning the sensor on my Canon 20d and thinking there has to be a better way!  It was nerve wracking to be sticking something into my expensive camera and hoping it worked after I was ...
  • I could see the hot/stuck/dead pixel(s) in the EVF that also showed up in the actual image.  It was like a little glowing firefly in the EVF locked in that one spot.  It was actually quite ...
  • EM5 II arrived yesterday, put a lens on it, worked great.  A little irritated with not being able to have the back LCD off until I hit the ok button to bring up SCP, so only way to keep it off is ...
