Hi all! Back AF button? I have AF disengaged from the shutter button, anybody knows if you can assign AE-L/AF-L button to just AF?
Of course this negates using the AE-L/AF-L button for what it was made for, so... why remove the dedicated AF button in the first place? It adds sooo much flexibility, it's hard to believe it's just a matter of cost.
Also, I think that the dual SD card as opposed to CF/SD will frustrate many users (me among them, for sure). Dual CF is IMHO one of the best features a semi-pro or pro DSLR can have, but mixing the formats introduces complexity and speed deficiencies (same for Canon EOS5dmkiii etc.) in speed shooting, while going for100% SD makes it even worse. Except for a brand new user, or someone upgrading from a "lesser" model, who only has SD cards anyway. What about all the others out there, Nikon?
Sumicron69: I come from a Canon and more recently an almost exclusive m43 pedigree. I am very interested in this camera if it will take older manual focus Nikon lenses. Can anyone confirm if this is the case?
Yep it does. Great that they kept the internal motor.Check out this if you like: http://imaging.nikon.com/lineup/dslr/d600/compatibility02.htm
