On Lady of the Lake in the Macro - Patina challenge (13 comments in total)
In reply to:

Bren Dyer: Without sounding rude I am very surprised that that image won, Mainly because it does not constitute what a macro is. By definition Macro is is extreme close-up photography, usually of very small subjects, in which the size of the subject in the photograph is greater than life size. I am not being a sore loser as i did not enter that challenge. Had I entered then I would be very annoyed your image won. it does not belong in a Macro challenge!

Yes you are right. The photo is nice but for sure it does not belong to this challange. It was the task of admin of the challenge. I noticed that in many challanges admins do not take care.

In reply to:

RuthC: Congratulations, Miroslav_1, on placing fourth in the 'Bath Time! (Nature) challenge, with your very wet little serin, and it is a delightful capture of this European finch. The subject of this challenge is not simple, and straight-forward, since the birds or animals are usually moving rapidly, and splashing water vigorously in every direction. You have achieved this really well. Ruth :-)

Thank you and to other viewers too, glad you like it.

Ben Raven: Congratulations Miroslav on a Gold and a Silver in the challenge.

The caterpillar is not only photographed with great technical
expertise, but you've managed to capture it in a
wonderful point in its unique way of moving.
Superb !

Thank you Ben!

RuthC: Congratulations on achieving a second place in this challenge, too. This is a great photo of this unusual mantis, (female?). I really like the details you've captured, with the browns of the mantis against the greens of the stalk and background. Ruth :-)

Thank you. Yes, this is female.
