dlevitt: I was hoping that this would feature the manual zoom lens of the older FZ-30 and FZ-50 instead of a power zoom.
This fz60 is definitely not the evolution of the legendary FZ50. The fz60 is one between many cameras.
I had the same problem, so I can tell you how I solved.
After the presentation of 650D, the 600D has dropped the price..
The two cameras are very similar ... this way, I bought the 600
Now I can say that the 600D is a good camera that gives me more than I really need.
