Best to ask yourself what you will end up doing with the images, Will they be printed very large or just 8x10 max and used on the internet, The D800/e is way overkill for 99% of people, Also what...

Turn the VR off and see if that helps

I would go back when the light is better, Here the light is so harsh that you can barely make out the birds head, Good Light is one of the key ingredients to good images

The images look a bit dark and flat, A small pop of fill flash is all thats needed to add some life to the eyes and fill the shadows
-
The image looks sharp but is very under exposed, Go to levels and pull the right hand slider in, The D7000 is a very good camera, I enjoyed my time with oneDave
-
I would be surprised if the D7100 remains the DX flagship for long, I would be that we will see a D9000 in the near future to match the rumoured Canon 7D2
-
Flash is around 1/1000 so it will help 'freeze' the image

What do you shoot, What lenses do you have, How much storage do you have and how powerful is your PC/Mac, What do you do with your images?sell/print very large? Do you need 36mp
-
Whats needed is a D4 sensor in a small body, A 24mp fast body would rob sales from the D4 as would a small bodies fast 16mp body, I guess Nikon want to sell a ceratin amount of D4's before they...

In what way is 1/200 over 1/250 holding you back?, Just curious

Better get a petition ready for Canon as well then as i have used both Canon and Nikon bodies and all are affected

I am sure it will give them a good laugh, I have shot digital for over 10 years and have had dust and sometimes oil on every camera sensor from new, Its a fact of life, Sensors are easy to clean,...
-
You will get dust and possibly some oil on all digital cameras, Get the D600 and learn how to clean your sensor, its not difficult
-
AF-C 9points and AF set to release works great on my D3s and D800Dave
-
You will get a better sun burst at a small aperture like F22, I prefer the colors in the first, 2nd looks a tad green
-
The images look very contrasty for me with very deep/blocked blacks
-
Looks like the prices are about to go back uphttp://www.canonrumors.com/2012/11/canons-map-pricing-goes-into-full-effect-today/
-
If i was you i would get the D600 or even a D7000, You talk about oil spot but i have had either oil or dust on every single digital body i have ever purchased and there have been quite a few,...
