In case of articles like this one, I think the interactive gear button should be supplemented with:
"I own it""I want it""I had it""WE DON'T NEED IT"
Exciting times coming.
Don't like Samsung phone cameras because of focal length. Not mentioned in here about S5, but I'm pretty sure it is about 30mm FFE. Lumias does better job with 26mm.By the way can't find the gallery of 29 images on page 11...
Digital Suicide: How feels the shutter button? Can you clearly feel two steps on pressing it down gently? Coz on my RX100 mk1 shutter button is very unresponsive, practically I cannot feel the point between focus lock and shutter release.

It's all about the money, wright? I don't think 25-35K will suit them. Well, not for long. These pictures should be showed to the world for free as a consequence of war, which today is colled just a "conflict"
Man, this camera really must give a lot attendance (click ratio) for the DPR site. No mentioning 2.2K + comments. Advertising department must be very pleased with that.I think that's why we see it's review pages as a separate news everyday...
BPD7: I hope Auto ISO allows shutter speed greater than 1/30
Very very reasonable concern indeed.Hope so too.
24mm and ND filter... yayBye bye MK1, hello MK3
The first thing Nokiasoft should fix is the image colors in 1020. They are way oversaturated and are ok only for Ken Rockwell perhaps...
What do you mean by putting "can" word in the cons list?
Me too have RX100, and It's fantastic compact camera. But one thing really annoys me, like other Sony cameras, that ir chooses too slow shutter speeds by default. Choosing speeds manually is not convenient - it's just a compact. Seriously 1/60 sec in daylight kills me...
All photography gear sites should ignore pointless cameras like this.
Looking a this crap, I wonder how luxuriuos must be working conditions in the Nikon's marketing department...
Ok, now put all of your hate here and don't forget to press 1 up for your comment.
By the way, thanks DPR for great review of great camera.
AbrasiveReducer: I understand raw capability should made it more attractive to serious users. But wouldn't a serious raw user conclude that to get better quality, one needs to use a camera to take pictures?
I agree with AbrasiveReducer. RAW on the phone is just a marketing. This trick works especially on those, who doesn't know what is RAW.
Fuji guys, stop toying around.Just install a lens mount on the next gen X100SS.
It's just way too big. That repels many potential buyers, I think. Else is great.
It's true, that SONY made cameras to choose the slowest shutter speeds as posible. I see it in my RX-100 too. Sometimes it's so slow, that IS doesn't help. It does annoys me and makes me use shutter priority instead of aperture priority.
All looks good, the only thing phone itself is too big. I wish Nokia would come up with something smaller (like 925) and the same 20 Mp camera. Don't offer me 1020, I don't like it for its bulkyness as well.
