Hi Anders,
From lens test sites the Zeiss 28 2.8 has essentially no distortion. The Panasonic 25mm uncorrected has pretty high distortion from what I've read. Yes, the body corrects this I guess,...

Street photography is so hard. You have to take a successful photo (composition, lighting, subject matter, interest, exposure) in seconds, in public. And you get zero points from the viewer of the...

Thanks David, that's helpful information. I was considering the 28mm 2.8 actually, to use as a normal on my GX1. They make a 25mm, but for whatever reason it's $200 more, so I'll pass.

Hi, there is no magic dust in a Raw file. The camera jpeg has been processed one way, the Aperture jpeg (what you are actually seeing on the screen when you open a "Raw" file) another way. If you...

Yes, thanks Bob, I'm only referring to problems, like color shifts or other strange behavior.

I've run across a few forum posts and an internet article that claims SLR legacy lenses are better for m4/3 because rangefinder lenses cause the light to hit the sensor at bad angles, causing color...

Holy crap, do you try to mention your "equivalence" nonsense in every thread?? TROLL

Well, I looked at your example, and I don't see what's so "nasty" about the bokeh. It's certainly no worse than many primes like the Canon EF 50 1.4. The only thing really distracting in the photo...

Park Slope is in full bloom this week, so I couldn't resist a few shots. GX1 with a 1951 Canon Serenar 50mm 1.8:

It's interesting how much of current photography and gear essentially mimics wedding photographers. Flickr mobs will give you 1000 "likes" if you get 1mm deep DOF of your cat's nose. Even better...

I would guess that the Canon EF-S 17-55 f/2.8 is either as good, or better. But it's a much larger lens.

B&H price is down to $249 now... I bought mine when it was at $275, and I couldn't be happier. It's an amazing capable camera for that price, and fun to shoot old manual lenses on. I'm in the...

And only to add that people need to realize the "8-bit" means 8-bits per channel. So a jpeg is 24-bit color. "8-bits" label is used to make people think they are missing out on something.
Too...
