Yes Pentax make nice cameras but based on how many times they have been bought and sold and their market share, their future is suspect at best.

Nikon has never had their own fab.
They do produce the steppers that make the sensors used in most fabs, so i can assume from that that Nikon could make their own sensors if they chose...

That was a great review of the 2 cameras... It was nice to see them side by side and the subtle differences achieved from both. At this point it's obvious that you can't go wrong with either...
