Cartsen, that was a really informative reply thankyou, I was about to pull the trigger on it but after looking at the images, it's definitely too big, I went with the X-E1 to keep 1 lens on the...

The wallimex/Samyang 35mm 1.4 is quite affordable but I worry it's too big, especially with an adapter for whatever mount I can get it in, something like the Voigtlander 40mm 1.4 is both cheapish...

I have the X-E1 with a couple of M42 lenses and the kit lens at the minute, and I now have the funds to get something that'll likely not leave my camera very often, if only for a quick wide-angle...

Just the lens, the movement is just rotational and very slight, but enough to make it annoying when I zoom in then out and I hear/feel it rotate ever so slightly.

I got my X-E1 the other day and have been loving it so far, but I've noticed the mount isn't 100% secure and there's a bit of lens wiggle, when zooming on the 18-55mm kit lens fast the lens moves...

When I put the 18-55mm lens on the X-E1 the display turns on and off continuously (black only though) and the lens makes a strange noise, almost like a shutter, I think it may be the aperture...

It was shot on L, I found no image detail differences between both RAW and JPEG using Lightroom 4.

All comparisons are done with RAW on the left, JPEG on the right.I made a thread a month or so back asking if if the X10 is the right street camera for me, as I process all my pictures in RAW and...

I finally dropped a lot of pennis on the X10 and a bunch of accessories the other day after wanting a street camera for a while now, my DSLR just isn't discrete nor fun to lug around everywhere...

Thankyou for the reply, that's really a shame, it's near perfect for me (even has 35mm marked on the lens!) but with poor RAW files, I don't see it giving me what I want. Do the JPEGs atleast...

Been looking at compact premiums, something to pair with my DSLR and to use for video every so often (personal use), mostly to use in street photography. RX100 is clearly the best P+S in terms of...

Thanks Gavin, that's a good find, I'll keep it saved for future use!I was thinking, what with this being video focused, I did forget that with the optical viewfinder I'll have on idea what is...

Also, does anyone know if the Olympus VF-1, 34mm OVF (made for 17mm lenses) have markings for 28mm (14mm...

Does anyone know of an optical viewfinder that would fit the GF2 or GX1 using the panasonic 14mm lens? I've been pondering a GF2/GX1 as a dedicated video camera alongside my Canon 40D for stills,...

Sorry Chris, I meant the Sigma 85mm 1.4 which is £600 new, £480 used!
-
I had a look and it's almost £1,000! That is a bit over my price range, I forgot to add that my range is about £500 maximum used.

Thanks for the suggestions, I'm worried I won't use it though, not only are they massive but I'd probably have to get an even bigger bag (I love the one I have now, lovely and retro). The reasoning...

I'm currently using the Canon 40D with 18-50mm Sigma 2.8-4.5 and 50mm F1.8, and they have given me great results so far, I'm wondering what lens to get next though and can't decide.I feel I should...

I did end up getting the Sigma afterall, it was tad cheaper, newer, and came with the full warranty, I decided the 2.8 on the wider side would benefit me more than 17-85 in the long run, plus the...
