Good job on the kayak Barney, and interesting video.
mpgxsvcd: I compared the specs for the Canon 7D MKII to the Nikon D500 side by side. The only thing in the specs that the D500 didn’t have or was better than the 7D MKII in was that the D500 lacks a built-in flash. Every other, single thing, on that list the D500 was equal or better than the 7D MKII.
The Canon 7D MKII costs considerably less than the D500 but it really does look like the D500 dominates it in every single area according to the specs.
What I would like to know from Canon users is what is not in the spec lists that the Canon 7D MKII excels at over the D500? There must be something that it can do better other than having a built in flash.
I guess the more important question is “What is Canon going to do next to best the D500?”. It seems unlikely that they are going to exceed these specs in the near future.

Since it took all these years for Nikon to exceed the specs of the original 7D, I think your right :)
Lil g: Does this replace the GH227114962833TQDGRPP II?
No, the III ;)
That's too bad. Always had good service from LR, lens sometimes arriving a day earlier
Great work sir. That first shot is one i'd like to have do myself.
Rowbear: I'm not buying until I see an $800 price drop on the EF 50 1.8 ... so there ...
I was just joking around. I should have put a winky ;)

There are some realy nice pictures in this article
Joyeux Noël et bonne année de Gatineau au Québec :)
Thanks for giving us your view on this very capable camera. I'd probably get it instead of a 4/3rd considering my current lens lineup, and save a bunch of $$$ in the process.
reginalddwight: These photos are a welcome archive of days past and long forgotten.
The Stones probably don't remember much from the '60s because they were really there.
Nor the '70s, '80s, '90s....
Robin Williams once said "if you remember the '70s, you missed the whole thing :)
That Supermarine shot is just awesome. Good job :)
Thanks for a great review. The 6D looks like a very good travel companion.
Good article. Thanks
If this 180 is as good as their 150, I'll be very impressed !!!
It sure is a nice shot :)
RoelHendrickx: Thanks for the article. The result of your efforts definitely looks more interesting than the standard stitched panorama.BTW, did anyone see the publicity video that Olympus did on the first introduction of the PEN? It can be regarded as the video equivalent of this technique : hundreds of individual photos that together form a collage of an man's entire life. Great advert!http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m9Et7UQh1tgReally! You should check it out.Roel
Very good indeed :)
Very interesting interview.
