Let's face one fact - we all got here in the first place because Fujifilm had the vision to produce a competitive platform that produces " Red Dot image quality for a lot less M-oney!" They haven't disappointed us yet and this X is another fine example of the high value Fuji offers in its products.
peevee1: How come they need a firmware update for every camera to support a new lens? And what other lens makers are supposed to do, who cannot upgrade a firmware in every Fujifilm camera as soon as they release a new lens? And what will happen to old bodies when they go out of support eventually - no compatibility with new lenses for them?Seems like a bad standard.
Just wondering... How many firmware updates has the Hubble Telescope endured by those pesky NASA engineers just to eek out a little more resolution? Couldn't they have predicted every eventuality that was to happen over the next 24 years! NASA where was your crystal ball in 1989? Talk about a masquerade and design flaw! What will happen when there is no compatibility - serious design flaw. Really Guy's?
This throws me, why is it that the DPR; NEX 7 image sample blows away the RX1r sample. In fact that NEX 7 sample blows away just about every studio sample - even the 800e?
I almost qualified the NEX 7 for purchase just for this reason, but the real world of the NEX just didn't stack up. Did DPR just get everything right in the NEX 7 studio test? They really botched the FUJI X's in that case.
NEX vs OMD vs FUJI X... You guessed it. I'm very astounded by the IQ of my X-E1. I'll "Keep the Change!"
Portable "Red Dot" I.Q., for allot less "M"oney!
