I've got some yingnuo 560 II. They cheap, have pretty good power and so far seem pretty reliable.Get a radio transmitter/receiver set and your good too go. Having it built in sounds good but I...

Well they have a very good resolving power over a very small area. The edges are absolutely shocking though.

I've just started a masters course at Edinburgh Uni. Beautiful city with some great photography opourtunities.

Looks over exposed to me.
Doesn't look like the type of image that you'd expect to contain wide dynamic range though. Normally when people talk about the need to wide dynamic range it's when...

m4/3 is 4:3, APS-C is 3:2. Largely down to personal preference, although it could be argued that 4:3 is more suitable for printing due to it matching the "normal" sized paper better, whilst 3:2 is...

This is one thing I agree with is I find it a shame I can't swap lenses with as many of my friends, although at uni photography clubs there certainly seems to be an increase in m4/3 so that's...

Apart from the fact that the 75-300mm lens normally have poorer IQ, aren't weather sealed (which I think the oly definitely is) or internal zoom (which I think the oly probably is) are slower...

I guess the 70-200 isn't a great comparison but neither is the 50-150. It ends up only going to 225mm. Yes, you can crop, but equally you could crop a 200mm down on something like a D800 and still...

In m4/3 cameras the lens will stop down when composing if the light is too bright to stop any damage to the sensor and stop the live view being blown, it will then open up to the desired setting to...

From the tests I actually pay attention to the 35-100mm is strongest at 100mm in the middle, and doesn't do badly at the corners. Only marginally behind the best primes in both the centre and corners.
-
I would have said size and weight matters just as much. If IQ and cost were all that mattered I would have gone straight past m4/3 to a cheap FF DSLR.
-
Does that results in the JPG and raw being transferred? Doesn't sound like too bad a work around but will use up space quicker.
-
I understand it should be bigger due to the reach. I think it's a bit early to be saying about how "finished" it is though. The 35-100mm also provides IQ that can rival the primes for resolution in...

Jesus that's a bigger difference than I was expecting.
Going to have a bit of a conundrum because I could do with a slightly longer lens for sports shooting but the 40-150mm is definitely to big to...
-
Surely cameras should be compared by max aperture and zoom just as much as by sensor size. What would be the point in someone making a FF compact if it was limited to f/22.
-
My GH3 can do this (although doesn't have the live bulb feature). It was very easy to set up. The only nuisance for me is that it can't wirelessly transfer raw photos to a tablet, only a laptop.

It's only f1.8 for a very small portion of that zoom. Also doesn't the 1 system have a f1.2 lens?

It's good enough for snorkelling and surf photography etc. I'd love to see some of the 4k, 60fps shots you can get out of these cameras of surfers (assuming this camera is also capable of that...

Maybe it's because they designed the camera with 90% of the world in mind instead of the USA, so used meters as the primary measurement. 15m just happens to round to 49ft, they'd prob get moaned at...

I assuming (and sincerely hoping) this list is a joke.
